About PeraPera World

1.  What is PeraPera World?
PeraPera World is a completely free matching site that helps foreign language teachers and students find each other directly. There is no charge for membership or using its services.

2.  How much does PeraPera World cost?
PeraPera World is completely free. You don’t have to pay for membership or using its services.

3. Do you mediate between students and teachers?
PeraPera World has no intermediation service. You have to deal with students directly.

4.  How do I cancel my membership?
Click “Cancel Membership” on the menu bar. Once you withdraw your membership, you can't reactivate it, and you won't be able to retrieve any messages. If you would like to use PeraPera World’s services after a cancellation, you have to sign up again.

5.  Can I become a member again after a cancellation?
You are free to reregister yourself at anytime.

6.  I tried signup, but it didn't work.
If you are having problems to sign up or sign in, there are a few possible areas that you can troubleshoot.

(1)Check your browser and cookie settings.
We recommend that you set your browser to accept cookies. To enable cookies, set your browser's security settings to Medium.

To enable cookies in Internet Explorer 6.0:
1. Click Tools on the Internet Explorer menu bar.
2. Click Internet Options.
3. Click the Privacy tab and adjust the setting to Medium or lower.
(For some databases, it may be necessary to set the level to Low.)

(2)Check your security software and settings.
If you are connecting from home and have security software set up on your computer, try to accept cookies. If you are connecting from work, your company may have a network firewall that is blocking access. Check with your network administrator.

(3)Fully Supported Browsers
To use PeraPera World features, we recommend the following systems for the best.
OS: Windows XP
PC: Internet Explorer 6.0 and above, Firefox 2.0

How to contact students

1.  How can I make contacts with students?
With PeraPera World’s system, you have to wait until students contact you by email. Once you receive an inquiry from them, you can negotiate details. Please sing up and wait for messages from students.

2.  Can I send an email in Japanese?
As PeraPera World’s system supports Japanese, you can send and receive messages in Japanese. You can also input your profile information such as Major, Business Description/Background, Comment, etc. in Japanese language.

3.  When do I have to respond to a message from a student?
We recommend you to reply to a message within a couple of days or one week at the latest. If you are not able to respond for a while, click “Suspend” on the menu bar so that you won’t receive any messages afterward.

4.  How do I receive tuition?
Please negotiate directly the method of payment with your students. We also recommend you to refer their preferred payment method on the profile page in advance.



How to use PeraPera World

1. Registration
Anyone is welcome to become a member of PeraPera World. If you accept the user agreement, proceed to the registration page, fill out the form completely and click “Pre Registration” button. When you receive the confirmation mail, click the URL in the message to complete registration. A completion message will appear after the procedure.

2. Mail
By logging in to PeraPera World, you can use PeraPera Mail that has same functions as other free web-based email accounts. To send a message to a student::
1. Select a message from your inbox and click the subject.
2. Click “Reply to this message” and compose your mail.
3. Click “Send” or “Save Now” accordingly.

When once you send a message to a student, its contact information is stored in Contacts. You can compose a message by clicking the nickname in Contacts.

3. Student Profile
If you click Nickname of students, you can see their profile such as age, preferred lesson fee and schedule, etc. You can also check all messages exchanged with this student by clicking Mail History.

4.  Edit Profile
You can switch the page by clicking “To Profile I ? Basic Information” or “To Profile II ? Lesson Information.”

5.  Suspend
You can suspend your profile by clicking “Suspend.” Once it’s suspended, you will not receive any messages from new students. You can keep sending and receiving messages from the students in Contacts.

6.  Cancel Membership
If you want to withdraw your membership, click “Cancel Membership.” Once it’s done, you can’t reactivate it, and you won’t be able to retrieve any messages.

7.  ID Verification
We recommend you to provide us with your ID verification document and Certificate of Language Teaching Qualification in order to enhance your credibility. For more details, please refer to the ID Verification page on the menu.

8. QandA Board
There is a QandA Board function on PeraPera World, where students can post their questions to teachers. You can answer the questions only on the QandA Board, and it will be available to anyone to see. Please answer as soon as possible if you receive any questions.
